Kosta Legal is glad to inform its current and potential clients that lawyers of the firm have successfully completed comprehensive pre-acquisition due-diligence of an industrial real estate complex in Tashkent city. The due diligence is part of the multi-million transaction for sale and purchase of one of the largest construction enterprises operating in Uzbekistan.

A number of issues significantly complicated the analysis. According to the title documents, a vast land plot with numerous production facilities was privatized by the Uzbek government, imposing a number of investment obligations. One of our tasks was to confirm due performance of these investment obligations by the target. There is also a railway passing through the land plot that requires obtaining specific permissions and complying with specific regulatory rules. Issues related to environment protection and adjacency of residential areas were also touched upon during the analysis.
